CHRISTMAS IN MONTANA

We spent Christmas in Montana this year! It was COLD (-20 degrees at times), but it was BEAUTIFUL also. We had a really good time with family celebrating, going to out to dinner, playing games, sledding, and crosscountry skiing. We even managed to catch a glimpse of a bald eagle while skiing--what a treat! It's always hard to leave and say good-bye to family, but we are hoping to see everyone in May for Mike's graduation.

ANOTHER YEAR'S END
2008 is closing fast and furious as Mike is finishing up his fourth year of medical school and traveling all over the country interviewing for Child/Adolescent Psychiatry residency programs. We will find out where we will be matched in March.

I am still working as a sonographer and enjoying the warmth of sunny California as much as I can before a probable move in May 2009.

Some of the fun trips we had in 2008 were a trip to San Francisco, jet skiing the San Diego Bay and biking around Coronado Island, two weeks enjoying family and beaches in St. Vincent and Trinidad, and a road trip to Wyoming and Montana to see family (where Mike saw Yellowstone National Park for the first time). In October, Mike and his dad ran a half marathon in Tavares, FL.

Our goal for 2009 is to get settled into residency, wherever that may be, and to do a triathlon together. Training will begin immediately in the new year. We are thankful for abundant blessings in 2008 and are eager to see what exciting adventures await us in the coming year.

HE'S A TRAVELIN' MAN

Mike is in the middle of his final year of medical school, and he has been a traveling man! He has a ton of interviews all over the country and has only gone to a portion of them so far: LA, Loma Linda, Seattle, Spokane, Salt Lake City, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Denver, Nashville, somewhere in West Virginia, Boston, Manhattan, Gainesville, Tampa, Miami, Atlanta...it is MADNESS! So far, his favorite places have been SLC, Tampa, and Ann Arbor, MI. Who knows where we will end up? We're getting anxious, as Match Day is coming up in March!
