Guts and Glory
Mike and I ran in a 5K race at Cal State San Marcos (outside of San Diego) the first weekend of August. We had a great time! I knocked 3 minutes off my old time and took 65th of 500. Mike took 8th overall. My computer crashed, so I don't have any pictures from the race to post yet. A local photographer got some great shots of Mike, so we'll try to purchase one or two and post them in the near future. Next year my goal is to run 24:00 and Mike wants to be in the top 3. We can't wait until next year! Join us!
We ran for Guts and Glory, raising money for Crohn's Disease and Colitis research. Anyone want to join our team next year (we are going to start early)? We would have liked to form a team this year, we had seen a flyer for the race when strolling around San Diego Bay one day and only had two weeks to get ready for it. Next year... come on down to beautiful southern Cali and join us for the fun!
Just found out this week that our little (or not so little) brother, Joey, is planning to spend a MONTH in December with us! We are are so excited!!! I know we'll have a good time. The rest of the family will be coming closer our way later in December to play in a table tennis tournament in Las Vegas. Then they'll spend the holidays at our place. My old roommate, Mengkha was going to join us for the holidays, but I think she is going to wait until Spring Break now. We'll have a blast when she does come--can't wait!!!
Still waiting on wedding pictures, but I finally tracked my photographer down at his new work place in TEXAS (thanks to the help of a some other unhappy brides--teamwork is rewarding). Hopefully we will be getting our wedding pictures soon.
Those are all our updates for now!

Yay! Congrats on the two of you!!! You go! My goodness, the last time I ran a 5k was in college in the Philippines...7 years ago? Too long. We've been doing a lot of hiking but I don't think that's adequate training for a marathon :D They just had one here shortly after we arrived so didn't have time to train. You two inspire me to start training for the next one :)
Very glad to hear about the wedding pics as well... :) I can't believe he'd disappear to Texas... will be looking forward to pics then :D
Hi Tanya,
So fun to see your wedding and read all the updates. So happy for you! Sorry you had such a hard time with your wedding pics. I know the feeling, and you are so lucky to have found your photographer. Ten years later, I still don't have my complete order. My photographer hired a stand-in at the last minute, got a divorce, closed her business and moved to ?? Still looking for her. . .just because! Anyways, looks like you are doing wonderful and loving life! Love, Libby
