Sabbath was a wonderful day! Unfortunately, I had to work on-call at the hospital until 5:00 a.m. Sabbath morning, so we were not able to make it to church for fellowship. After some good sleep, though, we were able to drive to Forest Falls and hike up several tiers of falls to the near-top of the falls. It was a great day! The weather was gorgeous, the company was the best (just dear hubby, God, and some friendly people along the way), and hiking was fun!
Arriving at the park...excited about the day ahead.
Walking along the dried up river bed...
At first, we wondered if this was the falls they were talking about...whoopie...

Can't see the falls behind us, but then we reached a larger set of falls and wondered if THAT was the falls they were talking about. It was a nice place to have lunch and worship.

We continued hiking up and found another part of the falls--very secluded even pretty--and we had worship there too. Then we continued on and started seeing more of the falls.

Our trail...

Reaching the top of the falls (notice how small the people look at the bottom)...
Mike making his way carefully to the base of the upper tier of the falls...
The reward of making it to the top...feeling the cool spray of the falls...
After sunset we visited Petco and adopted our first living thing together--our Betta!!!!
Betta's new home...
Isn't he beautiful???
